Well, many locals didn’t believe we would get snow but Mother Nature delivered because El Paso woke up Sunday morning looking like a snow globe.

Light snow dusted parts of the Borderland, and yes, some residents took full advantage. Social media quickly filled with photos of snowy yards, bundled-up kids, and even a few very proud snowmen standing tall against all odds.

While the snow made for a magical start to Sunday, the cold isn’t done with us yet. Temperatures are expected to stay frigid overnight, with icy conditions likely lingering into Monday morning. That combo has local officials keeping a close eye on road conditions, especially during the early commute when bridges and overpasses can turn slick fast.
