LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Lubbock County Commissioner’s Court will vote Tuesday on a resolution supporting the Expo Center Local Government Corporation’s commitment to a new design for the county expo center.
The resolution involves a $375,000 cost for the new design. According to the chairman of the Expo Center board, the organization has already spent $7 million over the past several years on infrastructure and planning.
The multipurpose expo center is expected to host concerts, rodeos, youth competitions and community gatherings. Officials hope to bring tourism and economic activity to the area.
