Here are 10 events to attend in Georgetown in February and early March, including the inaugural health and wellness expo, a Valentine’s Day run and an art exhibit.

Georgetown’s Health and Wellness Expo
The event will feature a full day dedicated to physical, mental, emotional and social well-being. The all-day expo brings together local businesses, holistic health practitioners, fitness experts and wellness coaches as well as food vendors, music, demos, free samples and dancing.

The Williamson Museum will host a Valentine’s Day crafting event where attendees ages 21 and older can create a handmade Valentine, enjoy a specialty cocktail and mingle. Tickets include one drink, craft supplies and light bites.
‘The Mountaintop’
The Georgetown Palace Theatre will present “The Mountaintop” by American playwright Katori Hall. The play is a fictional account of the eve of Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination in 1968. Directed by Jeremy Brown, the shows will take place at the Doug Smith Performance Center.
Creating Mini Landscapes with Emily Latham
Emily Latham will guide students in carving stamps into pieces of landscapes such as trees or birds. Students can combine and share their stamps with others to produce mini landscapes. The class is meant to encourage attendees to experiment with color, layering and composition.
Neo Geo
The Georgetown Art Center will host the exhibit by artists Larry Akers and Janet Brooks. Their works show a range of color interactions and pattern-based design. The opening reception for the exhibit will be Feb. 14 from 4-6 p.m. and the artist talk will be Feb. 15 at 2 p.m.
Cupid’s Chase 5K and Kids Fun Run
Runners of any age and skill level can gather at San Gabriel Park on Valentine’s Day for the 31st annual race. Registration price for the 5K includes a timed bib, runner packet, finisher medal and shirt. Registration for the Kids 1K Fun Run includes a finisher medal, shirt and goodie bag. Adults can run the 1K Fun Run for free but will not receive any swag. In order to secure a shirt, participants must register by Jan. 27, after that deadline, shirts will be distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Williamson County will hold an information session to educate the public about the Justice Complex Project, which is examining the current and future needs of the Justice Center and jail, according to the county. Attendees are invited to ask questions about the project and share input. There will be no formal presentation from the county so community members can also come-and-go as needed.
Adult Board Game Group
Attendees ages 18 and older can gather at the library every fourth Saturday of the month for a board and card game meetup. Board game fanatics are encouraged to bring their own games or enjoy one from the library’s selection.
First Friday Art Reception
The Williamson County Art Guild will host the event, showcasing over 40 local artists. It will feature an evening of art, refreshments, live music and voting for the People’s Choice Award, where attendees can select their favorite art piece. The Williamson County Art Guild also hosts a monthly raffle where attendees have the opportunity to win a donated art piece from one of the guild’s members. The winner of the March raffle will take home a piece by V. McConnell.

The Georgetown Main Street Program will present the 16th annual Georgetown Swirl, commemorating the milestone with a Sweet 16 theme. General admission attendees will receive a wine glass, ten wine samples and food offerings from participating restaurants.
