Slice House by Tony Gemignani is now open and serving artisanal pizzas by the slice or whole in Frisco.

The fast-casual pizza franchise was set to open Jan. 24, but opened early Jan. 23 due to the winter weather seen across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, said founder Tony Gemignani in a social media post.

“We are very excited to bring Slice House to Texas with the opening of our first location in Frisco,” Gemignani said in a news release. “Thanks to the leadership of our brand partner, Dan Hawkins, we’re proud to soon be a part of the local community and share our signature Slice House craftsmanship. To celebrate the opening, we’re debuting a Frisco-exclusive slice, The Texan, inspired by the Frisco community and using bold Texan flavors that we can’t wait to share with our guests.”

Available by the slice only, The Texan is a New York-style barbecue brisket pizza topped with mozzarella, bacon, green onion, crispy onion, Romano cheese, oregano and topped with garlic oil, the release states.
