According to police, the victim was found unresponsive in a nearby pond.

COLLEYVILLE, Texas — An elderly man is in critical condition after being found unresponsive Sunday morning in a Colleyville pond, officials say.

Police say officers and firefighters were called at about 10:30 a.m. to the 500 block of Fry Lane to help the victim, who had fallen in the back pasture and couldn’t get up.

Upon arrival, officials say they helped the caller, then found her husband in the pond unresponsive.

The man was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
