LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – While currently riding a five-game winning streak that includes Saturday’s 90-86 thriller over Houston, the Texas Tech Red Raiders (16-4, 6-1) are now ranked No. 11 in the Associated Press ranking released Monday, one spot higher than from the previous week.
Other Big 12 schools include:
1. Arizona (20-0, 7-0), 8. Iowa State (18-2, 5-2), 10. Houston (17-2, 5-1), 13. BYU (17-2, 5-1), and 14. Kansas (15-5, 5-2).
Coach Grant McCasland and the team are on a seven-day hiatus, before they return to action Saturday morning for a showdown with the UCF Knights (15-4, 4-3), and will look to avenge a 87-83 loss that took place last season on New Year’s Eve. Tip-off scheduled for 11 a.m. CT at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Fla.
