Plane lands safely at Lubbock airport after engine failure

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to the Lubbock Preston International Airport where a plane had to make an emergency landing.

LFR said the plane had an engine fail and oil pressure issues. 36 people were on board the plane, which was flying from Dallas to Midland.

LFR said the plane landed safely.

A City of Midland spokesperson released the following statement:

“Inbound plane had mechanical issues. Landed in Lubbock. A plane from Midland is headed to Lubbock to pick up the passengers”
