Kolton Strey became the third Hornet to win Blitz “Play of the Year” honors for his 103-yard pick 6 in the playoffs.

The Flour Bluff Hornets now have the “Golden Pigskin” in their possession for the next year after winning 2025 Blitz Play of the Year honors.

Senior Kolton Strey received the award for his 103-yard pick six against McAllen in the playoffs. Strey’s defensive touchdown was the longest interception for a score in school history.

The play was also made possible by defensive tackle Anthony Mimms who had a key block along the sideline as Strey was going by.
