North Texas will continue to shiver Tuesday from the record-setting cold weather that arrived last weekend, though no winter precipitation is expected.

The daytime temperatures are forecast to reach a high of 39 degrees, although a slight breeze will make it feel cooler, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office. South to southwest winds around 5 mph are expected.

Overnight temperatures into Wednesday are expected to drop below freezing and bottom out in the low 20s with southward winds around 5 mph, forecasters say.

That means anything that melts during the day will refreeze Tuesday night, making roads and walkways especially treacherous for motorists and pedestrians.
