The band will perform at the American Bank Center arena following the rodeo competition, closing out the night with their signature neo-traditional country sound.

Midland — made up of Mark Wystrach, Cameron Duddy and Jess Carson — first gained national attention with their double-platinum hit “Drinkin’ Problem.” The song helped launch their debut album On The Rocks and the No. 1 Billboard Top Country Album, Let It Roll.

Known for blending classic honky-tonk influences with modern country style, the Texas-based trio has earned multiple Grammy nominations and built a strong following through major rodeo and venue performances across the state.

The group, now based in Dripping Springs, developed its sound in West Texas and has headlined shows at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth. Their most recent album, The Last Resort: Greetings From, continues their harmony-driven, steel guitar sound.

Individual tickets for the May 8 concert go on sale Friday, Jan. 30 at 10 a.m. Prices start at $25 and include both the rodeo and concert. Tickets will be available through the Buccaneer Commission’s official ticketing site.
