DeSOTO PARISH, La. (KSLA) – A man from Dallas lost his life in a wreck while driving on icy roads in DeSoto Parish Monday, Jan. 26.
Louisiana State Police says the wreck happened around 4 p.m. on Highway 177 near Highway 510.
John Hordge, 46, of Dallas, was killed in the crash.
LSP’s preliminary investigation shows Hordge was driving a 2014 Ford F-150 south on Highway 177, when for reasons still under investigation, he went off the road, hit a guardrail, went into a nearby creek, and flipped.
Police say Hordge was not wearing his seat belt, and was fatally injured. Police do not believe he was impaired, but a toxicology sample was taken for analysis nonetheless.
The wreck is still being investigated.
