EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 27-year-old was arrested after shoplifting at three West El Paso County travel centers on Saturday, Jan. 24, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office says just after 11 p.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to a reported shoplifting incident at the Xpress Fuel Travel Center located at 581 E. Vinton Road.

Shortly thereafter, deputies received a second report of a similar shoplifting incident at the TA Express Travel Center located at 601 Westway Blvd. A third shoplifting incident was later reported at the Love’s Travel Station in Anthony, Texas, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies determined all three incidents involved the same suspect, who was later identified as 27-year-old Angel Anthony Garcia.

Deputies were able to obtain information on Garcia’s vehicle and traced it to a residence in Vinton, Texas.

Deputies located the vehicle and Garcia and took him into custody. He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on two counts of theft of property under $100 by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and one additional count of theft of property under $100 by the Anthony Police Department. His total bond was set at $1,500.
