A San Antonio school bus crashed during the morning rush on Tuesday, January 27, according to the San Antonio Fire Department (SAFD).

The Southwest Independent School District (SWISD) bus was carrying approximately 30 teenage students when it “overturned,” authorities tell MySA. The incident was confirmed to have happened on Loop 410 South at about 8:15 a.m., according to the traffic monitoring site, Sig Alert.

“All occupants were evaluated. The driver and three students were transported to the hospital for evaluation and treatment,” an SAFD spokesperson said via email. “The driver is the only patient that required urgent transport.”

As of 9:15 a.m., only the far left lane is open, according to SigAlert. Officials are warning drivers of expected delays of up to 1 hour. MySA reached out to SWID for comment, but did not immediately hear back.
