SAN ANTONIO — A school bus in San Antonio crashed and flipped over early Tuesday morning with students on board.
The crash happened Tuesday morning on Loop 410 between Old Pearsall Road and Freeport Road/Quintana Road, according to the Texas Department of Transportation. A Southwest Independent School District spokesperson confirmed to Spectrum News that the crash involved one of the district’s buses.
According to the district, 33 Southwest Legacy High School students were on board, but none were seriously injured. The bus driver was taken to a local hospital for further treatment, and his condition is not known.
District officials later said in a Facebook post that five students were also transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
At this time, it is not known whether any other vehicles were involved or what caused the crash.
