AUSTIN, Texas — Eight kittens were found freezing in a cage on Great Northern Blvd., prompting a swift response from the Austin Police Department.
Sergeant Ben Mewis discovered the kittens without shelter, food, or water, and they were transported to Austin Animal Services by the Baker 300s unit, saving them from the cold.
The Austin Police Department reminds the public that leaving animals outside in freezing weather without proper care is unacceptable.
