EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso will open a temporary, in-person tax payment office inside the El Paso Central Appraisal District to give residents another way to pay property taxes during peak season.

The temporary office will be staffed by Tax Office cashiers to accept payments in person. This additional option was created in response to customer feedback and will complement existing ways to pay, including online, by mail, and by drop box, according to the City.

Residents are encouraged to choose the method that works best for them and pay on time to avoid penalties and interest.

Beware of tax scams and unverified third-party services

The City encourages residents to use official City payment channels and avoid sharing sensitive information with unknown sources.

Before using any third-party service, residents should contact the Tax Office first to confirm legitimate options and review available alternatives.
