A woman died in Fort Worth Tuesday, and authorities said they suspect it was due to the cold weather, according to a news release from Fort Worth police.
Shortly after 4:40 p.m., officers were called to the 2900 block of E. Seminary Drive in reference to an unresponsive woman in a field, the release said.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene, and the woman was pronounced dead, police said.
“At this time, it is believed to be a cold weather-related death and no foul play is suspected,” the release said.

Police said homicide detectives were notified, which is normal protocol.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official cause of death and release the identity of the woman, the release said.
