The Flour Bluff boys hold off #22 Ray to take over sole possession of first place in 29-5A. The Carroll girls handled Moody to earn a season split.

The high school basketball playoffs are just a few weeks away for the girls and four for the boys and the race for the postseason is heating up on the hardwood.

Flour Bluff boys took over sole possession of first place in District 29-5A with a 58-56 win over #22 Ray. The Hornets are now 10-1 in district while the Texans drops to 8-2.

The Carroll girls took care of Moody at the Tigers’ gym, 63-46. The Tigers are now in solid standing at third place in the district at 9-4 while the Trojans (6-6) drop a half game behind Gregory-Portland (7-6) for the final playoff spot.
