Expect sunny skies today with afternoon highs in the upper 50s to mid-60s.

Freezing temperatures are expected through the morning hours, with lows dropping to around 28 degrees. Residents are urged to protect people, pets, plants and pipes.

Chilly conditions will return tonight, with lows in the 30s inland and the 40s along the coast. 

Temperatures will warm into the upper 60s to low 70s by mid to late week. Another cold front is expected to move through late Thursday into Friday, bringing a return of cooler air for the weekend. Conditions are forecast to moderate again by early next week.
