Taylor Sheridan’s new TV series The Madison, which filmed in North Texas, will premiere March 14 on Paramount+.

The streaming service this month released images from the series, which stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell. Paramount+ will air new shows weekly for the series’ six-episode first season. The second season has already been filmed, an unusual step for a Sheridan-run show.

The Madison was initially described as a spinoff of Yellowstone, but the latest announcement from Paramount+ made no reference to the popular series, so it’s unclear if the two series are related.

The Dallas Morning News reported in December that The Madison was using Dallas as a double for New York City, with New York City taxi cabs and at least one NYPD patrol car spotted driving downtown as parts of Main and Ervay streets were blocked off. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that extras were needed for a scene shot in Fort Worth that would mimic New York City’s Museum of Modern Art. Scenes were also shot in Denton.

A Yellowstone spinoff, Dutton Ranch, used the KPMG Plaza at Hall Arts in downtown Dallas for a scene set in downtown Chicago. Many scenes from Sheridan’s popular show Landman also filmed in North Texas.

The Madison follows a family who moves from New York City to Montana, where the series also filmed. In addition to Pfeiffer and Russell, the series stars Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, Patrick J. Adams, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova and Matthew Fox.
