Plano capped a season sweep of Sandwich on Tuesday night, defeating the Indians 58-47 in a high school varsity boys basketball game broadcast live on WSPY.

Eric Nunez led the Reapers with 17 points, knocking down five 3-pointers to pace a balanced Plano offense. Ethan Taxis followed with 14 points and filled the stat sheet with five rebounds, four assists and a steal as the Reapers controlled the tempo throughout the night.

Plano built its advantage behind steady perimeter shooting and defensive pressure, getting contributions across the lineup. Cooper Beaty and Kevin Martinez added nine points apiece, with Beaty also recording seven rebounds, four steals and three assists to help Plano maintain separation down the stretch.

Sandwich stayed within reach behind Griffin Somlock, who scored a team-high 13 points and pulled down six rebounds. Braden Behringer added 12 points for the Indians, while EJ Treptow provided a presence inside with three blocked shots.

The win secured Plano’s third victory over Sandwich this season, completing a sweep of the Kishwaukee River Conference rivals and closing the regular-season series.Â
