According to 3NEWS reporters on the scene, the CCPD Bomb Squad was dispatched to Most Precious Blood after reports of a suspicious package being found.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Corpus Christi Police Department Bomb Squad responded to Most Precious Blood Church after reports of a suspicious package found at Bishop Mario Avilés Installation Mass.
Officials told 3NEWS reporters on scene that the suspicious package turned out to be a lunchbox containing several uneaten sandwiches.Â
According to 3NEWS Reporter Natalia Osuna, the church was evacuated out of caution.Â
Officials said there is no threat to the public.Â
