Infrastructure projects are underway in the city of Boerne to improve roadways and facilities across the city.
City Council on Jan. 27 reviewed projects in the works and discussed projects coming this year.
The details
City Manager Ben Thatcher told City Council the city is working through sidewalk development projects, including the design of a sidewalk ramp at 463 S. Main St. Thatcher said the ramp project is expected to be completed in March.
The city is also working through a pavement condition analysis, which would help determine which roads require repair in the future. Thatcher said the report is expected to be presented around the end of February.
What they’re saying
Council member Brett Bunker asked about the status of the roundabout on School Street and Johns Road.
Thatcher said the city is focused on the reconstruction of Adler Road, but the utility relocation of the intersection is planned for the summer. The roundabout construction is expected to begin in 2027, but the exact project timeline has not been established.
“[There’s] a lot of work to prep for when we can construct it,” Thatcher said.
