The death of a man in Fort Worth on Wednesday afternoon is suspected to have resulted from the recent bout of extreme cold weather that blanketed North Texas, Fort Worth police said in a statement.
Police responded to reports of an unresponsive person around 12:55 p.m. in the 6900 block of Northwest Loop 820.
First responders pronounced the man dead at the scene, according to the statement.
Homicide detectives were also notified, though no foul play is suspected at this time, the statement said.

Police said the death is believed to be cold weather-related.
The man’s identity and cause of death will be released by the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
It was the second suspected cold weather death reported in Fort Worth in as many days.
Shortly after 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to the 2900 block of E. Seminary Drive in reference to an unresponsive woman in a field.
The county medical examiner is also investigating to determine her cause of death and identity.
