San Marcos is home to the newest Texas millionaire, courtesy of the Texas Lottery. The winner hit it big, scoring just over $2 million with a Mega Millions ticket.

Where the Winning Ticket Was Sold

According to a press release, the ticket was purchased in Austin at U-Pak-M, located at 11940 Manchaca Road (Suite 101). As is usually the case with big jackpot winners, the person chose to remain anonymous.

The winner chose to go the Quick Pick route with the ticket, matching all five of the white balls drawn (12-22-49-57-58), but missing the Mega Ball number (19). The prize was increased from $1 million to $2 million thanks to the randomly selected Multiplier number 2.

I’ve been writing a lot about lottery winners in the Lone Star State lately. It seems like there’s a new millionaire announced about once a week. However, most of the winners lately have won on scratch tickets.
