SAN ANTONIO – IDEA Public Schools Judson campus is on lockdown amid an unknown investigation, according to San Antonio police.
Officers responded to the Northeast Side school around 7:55 a.m. Thursday. The school is located in the 1300 block of Judson Road, between Lookout Road and Interstate 35.
The school said it was aware of “an unconfirmed report of a prohibited item on school grounds.”
“Students and staff are safe, and at this time, there is no evidence of a critical active threat on campus,” the school said.
An SAPD spokesperson confirmed via email that the school was on lockdown.
A crowd of parents could be seen gathered outside the school, with some alleging the school had not been communicating with them.
