Report: Police at Judson IDEA, no ‘critical active threat’

Police are giving the all clear at IDEA Judson school after a lockdown Thursday morning.

After initial concern about a student with a gun on campus, no firearm was found and the all-clear is being given.

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Police Department is investigating an incident at IDEA Judson, but details are limited concerning the purpose.

The scene is described as active, but in a statement school officials say there is no ‘evidence of a critical active threat’ to any students or the campus. Investigators do believe a prohibited item may have been found on school grounds.

News 4 reports the item police are looking for might be a gun. As of 8 a.m. Thursday, the campus had been placed on lockdown.
