EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso County Republican Party is holding a rally on Thursday afternoon at the entrance of the Camp East Montana detention center to “stand with ICE and law enforcement,” according to the El Paso GOP in a news release.

The rally started at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 29, at the Montana and George Dieter entrance to the detention center.

At the same time, U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar, D-Texas, is expected to visit the detention center at Fort Bliss as El Paso GOP members rally outside.

“Your help is needed to show that the people of El Paso stand for Our Country and for Law and Order. The democrat politicians are trying to destroy our county and to help illegal border jumping criminals take over our county,” read the news release.
