Dallas native and Olympic gold medalist Sha’Carri Richardson was arrested in Orange County, Fla., on Thursday, according to jail records.
Richardson was charged with dangerous excessive speeding after reportedly going 104 miles per hour while weaving through traffic and “dangerously tailgating” on a Central Florida highway.
Richardson, 25, was booked into the Orange County jail and is being charged with dangerous excessive speeding of 100 mph or more. She has posted a bond of $500 and has since been released, according to the New York Daily News.
It’s the second time in less than a year that the Olympic sprinter has arrested. She was also arrested in July of 2025 after a domestic incident with her boyfriend at Seattle–Tacoma International Airport in Washington. She later apologized to boyfriend Christian Coleman.
