EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — Registered nurses from Las Palmas Medical Center and Providence Memorial Hospital in El Paso are holding vigils tonight to honor Alex Pretti, an RN who was shot and killed by federal immigration enforcement in Minneapolis, Minn.
According to the National Nurses Organizing Committee/National Nurses United, the vigils aim to remember all those who have died at the hands of federal immigration agents and to demand the abolition of ICE.
The vigils are being held at 8 p.m. at both Las Palmas Medical Center and Providence Memorial Hospital, located at the corner of N. Oregon St. and E. Hague.
