NACOGDOCHES 34, WHITEHOUSE 24: Jaylen Garrett completed 15 of 24 passes for 213 yards and two touchdowns, R.J. Whitaker hauled in seven passes for 121 yards and a TD and the Nacogdoches Dragons notched a 34-24 win over the Whitehouse Wildcats on Friday.
Micah Lockett added eight catches for 92 yards and a score, and Trae Page rushed for 118 yards and a TD for the Dragons.
Za’Majeigh Mosley rushed for 76 yards in the loss for Whitehouse. JK Robbins added 67 yards. Austin Holmes completed 13 of 26 passes for 136 yards, touchdowns and four interceptions and Zion Alexander had five catches for 58 yards and a TD.
VAN 48, GILMER 38: The Van Vandals outscored Gilmer 27-14 in the middle two quarters to rally for a 48-38 win over the Buckeyes on Friday.
Gilmer led 17-14 after one quarter. Van went up 27-24 at halftime and 41-31 after three quarters.
Da’Quavion Williams had 27 carries for 205 yards and three touchdowns for the Vandals. He also had two catches for 20 yards. Rawly Hinch was 10 of 16 for 190 yards and a touchdown, and he ran for 126 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries. Kase Lovette caught a 17-yard touchdown pass.
Carter Admire had nine tackles, three tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble for the Van defense.
Zade Taylor completed 18 of 33 passes for 341 yards and five touchdowns in the loss for Gilmer, He also carried nine times for 46 yards.
Solomon Jackson hauled in 11 passes for 209 yards and three touchdowns and Trace Haynes had two catches for 67 yards and two scores.
Drake Smith recorded 20 tackles for Gilmer in the loss.
GLADEWATER 33, TATUM 6: Jeremiah Flannigan carried 22 times for 111 yards and two touchdowns, Achilles Hess passed for 136 yards and a TD and added two rushing scores as the Gladewater Bears rolled to a 33-6 win over Tatum.
Carsin Cooper added 18 carries for 129 yards and a TD for the Bears, who finished with 606 total yards – including 470 on the ground.
Mason Budro had 13 tackles for the Bears. Amarion Minter recorded six tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and four QB pressures.
Grant Adcock scored on a 1-yard run for Tatum to account for all of the scoring for the Eagles.
DAINGERFIELD 76, HOOKS 59: Reign Wallace finished with seven total touchdowns, leading the Daingerfield Tigers to a 76-59 win over the Hooks Hornets on Friday.
Wallace, who scored five times last week for the Tigers, finished Friday’s game with seven catches for 283 yards and five touchdowns, 1 rushing touchdown and a scoop and score for points on the defensive side.
Isaiah Parker completed 17 of 27 passes for 408 yards and seven touchdowns for Daingerfield and added six carries for 54 yards and a TD. Micah Broughton carried 10 times for 108 yards and a TD, and Mason Williams caught three passes for 55 yards and two scores.
Kavon Stiger carried 30 times for 315 yards and four touchdowns in the loss for HooksRipken Birdwell passed for 110 yards and two touchdowns and added one rushing score.
Daingerfield led 21-12 after one quarter, scoring on TD passes of 22 and 24 yards from Parker to Wallace and a 4-yard run by Parker. Birdwell threw a 55-yard TD pass to Jamarion Smith and Jasper Crain scored on a 66-yard run for Hooks.
In the second, Hooks got a 14-yard TD run by Casen May, a 41-yard TD run by Stiger and a 37-yard TD pass from Birdwell to Romeo Minter while Daingerfield scored on a 55-yard TD pass from Parker to Wallace, a 3-yard TD run by Wallace and a 30-yard TD pass from Parker to Mason Williams on the final play of the half to give the Tigers a 42-33 halftime lead.
Daingerfield led 70-47 after three, getting a 20-yard TD run by Broughton, TD passes of 7 yards from Parker to Mason Williams and 65-yards from Parker to Wallace and a 15-yard fumble return for a score by Wallace. Hooks added a 1-yard TD run by Birdwell and a 4-yard TD run by Stiger.
Parker’s 71-yard TD pass to Wallace 12 seconds into the fourth made it a 76-47 contest, and Hooks closed out the scoring with TD runs of 10 and 61 yards by Stiger.
WHITE OAK 41, SABINE 34: Jaxsen Ludlow rushed for 178 yards and two touchdowns and passed for 160 yards and a pair of scores as White Oak edged Sabine, 41-34.
Kenny Poul and Levi Sipes had rushing TDs for White Oak, and Logan Ladwig and Tyson McKinney caught TD passes.
Griffin Dehoyas passed for 147 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 161 yards and two scores in the loss for Sabine. Syler Pierce added a TD pass and Damin Richardson scored once on the ground. Lincoln Royce and Kieffer Serrano caught TD passes for the Cardinals.
TROUP 69, NEW DIANA 31: Brett Wells carried 19 times for 225 yards and five touchdowns, Josh Childress passed for 263 yards and four touchdowns and the Troup Tigers notched a 69-31 win over New Diana.
Dee Hollie had three carries for 108 yards and a TD, and Cam Hollie caught seven passes for 184 yards and three scores for the Tigers. James Pierce hauled in three passes for 73 yards and a TD.
Caden Starkey and Wells had nine tackles apiece to lead the Tigers on defense.
DeJuan Johnson passed for 176 yards and 2 TD and rushed for 208 yards and two more scores in the loss for New Diana.
ARP 53, ELKHART 0: Zane Bourque passed for 84 yards and a TD, rushed for 28 yards and caught an 8-yard TD pass to lead the Arp Tigers to a 53-0 win over Elkhart.
Ty Langley passed for 37 yards and a TD and rushed for one TD for the Tigers. Tanner Hunt carried 12 times for 168 yards and four touchdowns, and Josh Smith added one rushing TD for the Tigers. C.P. Pierce caught four passes for 70 yards and a touchdown.
WINNSBORO 66, RAINS 21: Nolee Carroll completed 7 of 8 passes for 266 yards and five touchdowns and added 65 yards and a TD on the ground as Winnsboro rolled past Rains, 66-21.
Ky Caddell also threw a TD pass and added 53 yards and a TD on the ground for the Raiders. Neree Castleberry carried five times for 82 yards and a TD, and Camden Capehart caught four passes for 149 yards and four TDs. Ethan Young and Troy Bassett both hauled in TD passes, with Bassett finishing with two catches for 105 yards.
CARLISLE 47, CROSS ROADS 0: PRICE — The Carlisle Indians (4-3, 2-0) gave their Homecoming crowd plenty to cheer about Friday night, rolling past the Cross Roads Bobcats 47–0 to stay unbeaten in District 8-2A play.
Friday’s lopsided victory was a change of pace for the Indians, whose first six games of the season all came down to the closing minutes.
Carlisle’s offense exploded early, piling up five touchdowns in the first quarter alone. Quarterback Tony Ibarra opened the scoring with a 10-yard pass to Dakota Grigsby less than two minutes into the game, and Elvis Hernandez followed with a 13-yard touchdown run. Ibarra connected with Grigsby again on a 54-yard strike, then found Ivan Garza for an 11-yard score. Preston Armstrong capped the dominant opening frame with his first touchdown of the season, a 57-yard run that pushed Carlisle’s lead to 33–0 after one quarter.
The Indians kept rolling in the second quarter as Hernandez powered in for a 3-yard touchdown, stretching the margin to 40–0 by halftime. Armstrong added his second score of the night on an 11-yard carry in the fourth quarter to make it 47–0, and the defense held firm to complete the shutout.
Next up for Carlisle is a road matchup with undefeated Frankston (7–0, 2–0), currently ranked No. 4 in Class 2A Division II.
MOUNT ENTERPRISE 56, TENAHA 22: TENAHA — The No. 9-ranked Mt. Enterprise Wildcats stayed unbeaten Friday night with a 56–22 road win over the Tenaha Tigers in District 11-2A play.
Mt. Enterprise (7-0, 3-0) jumped out to a 40–8 halftime lead behind explosive plays from Kaegan Ash and Aadin Alsup. Ash rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns, caught a 50-yard scoring pass, and added six tackles and a forced fumble. Alsup carried five times for 119 yards and three touchdowns.
Quarterback Joshua Bennett completed both of his passes for 79 yards and a touchdown and had six tackles, Coy Freeman had a catch for 29-yards and returned a fumble 35 yards for a score, Harry Bellgardt carried three times for 46 yards and added three tackles and Lucas Burkhardt and Tanner Wilburn were in on four tackles each with Burkhardt recording one TFL. RJ Roberts finished with two tackles and one fumble recovery. Â
The Wildcats’ defense held Tenaha (1-7, 0-4) scoreless until late in the second quarter when Kory Miles slipped through for a 27-yard touchdown run just before halftime. Tenaha found the end zone two more times in the second half including a late 54-yard touchdown pass from Clayton Creech to Ty’Darryn Landon.
Mt. Enterprise now turns its attention to a marquee district showdown at home next Friday against the No. 4 ranked Lovelady Lions (7-0, 3-0) while Tenaha heads to Cushing (3-4, 0-3).
MALAKOFF 56, EUSTACE 0: Canyon Marsh passed for 246 yards and three touchdowns, Jerrion Hall rushed for 86 yards and two scores to go along with a long punt return for a TD and Malakoff rolled past Eustace, 56-0.
Marsh threw TD passes to Davion Johnson (7 yards, Nasir Ross (15 yards) and Kehler Whitlo (35 yards). Hall scored on runs of 3 and 35 yards to go along with an 85-yard punt return for a TD, and Johnson (28) and Kamori Jones (23) also added rushing TDs for the Tigers.
GRAND SALINE 46, CHISUM 7: Jett Taylor passed for 170 yards and a touchdown and added 18 carries for 146 yards and two more scores as the Grand Saline Indians notched a 46-7 win over Chisum.
Taylor also had six tackles, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and four pass breakups for the Indians.
Preston Hass rushed for 86 yards and a TD, Karson Herring rushed for one score and caught six passes for 94 yards and Ashton Withers finished with three catches for 46 yards and a TD.
Bo Hathcock returned an interception for a TD.
BROOK HILL 47, GRACE PREP 21: Zac Ryle completed 10 of 20 passes for 259 yards and five touchdowns to lead Brook Hill past Grace Prep, 47-21.
Grant Gandy rushed for 63 yards and a TD for the Guard. Paul-Antoine Lapointe added 63 rushing yards to go along with two catches for 97 yards and two touchdowns. Casper Hanson rushed for 50 yards, and Daniel Yates had two catches for 89 yards and a TD.
TEXAS HIGH 21, MOUNT PLEASANT 15: Kam Wrightner passed for 103 yards and two touchdowns, and the Texas High Tigers edged Mount Pleasant 21-15.
Ahmad Moore added a rushing TD for TH. Tradarian Ball caught three passes for 23 yards and two touchdowns.
CANTON 63, WILLS POINT 7: Sophomore quarterback Cort Ray completed 8 of 12 passes for 309 yards and four touchdowns and carried seven times for 104 yards and two more scores to lead Canton past Wills Point, 63-7.
Ethan Lewis caught four passes for 170 yards and three scores, and Casen French had a TD catch and returned an interception 44 yards for a score.
Calan O’Neill led the defense with six tackles, three tackles for loss and a forced fumble. The defense came away with three interceptions, with French and Lukas Hughes returning picks for scores. Lathan Pruitt also picked off a pass.
LONE OAK 41, QUITMAN 19: Slayde Parnell completed 11 of 19 passes for 229 yards and four touchdowns to lead Lone Oak past Quitman, 41-19.Alex McCallum carried 17 times for 124 yards and two touchdowns and Max Ramirez had five catches for 114 yards and a TD for Lone Oak. Moises Perez added three catches for 37 yards and two scores, and Alberto Sarmiento caught a 59-yard TD pass from Parnell. Peyton Jackson and Sammy Rodriguez finished with 16 tackles apiece.
CHCS 60, PROVIDENCE 0: Owen Holcomb passed for 129 yards and two touchdowns and added 88 yards and two more scores on the ground as Christian Heritage Classical School opened Six Man district play with a 60-0 win over Providence.
Cody Moczygemba and Griffin Holt both caught a pair of TD passes, and Gray Holcomb passed for 41 yards, rushed for 68 yards and finished with a pair of TDs. Colt Stone tossed a TD pass.
UNION HILL 52, CAMPBELL 0: E.J. Mowery had a hand in seven touchdowns as the Union Hill Bulldogs blanked Campbell, 52-0, in Six Man action on Thursday.
Mowery rushed for 194 yards and four touchdowns on five carries and completed 3 of 4 passes for 126 yards and three scores. Mitch Mobley had two catches for 93 yards and a TD. Harlee Burns caught a 33-yard TD pass, Jacob Brewster had two interceptions and Keylan Orsburn picked off a pass.
Union Hill scored seven times on 10 offensive plays.
LEVERETT’S CHAPEL 70, SAVOY 24: David Salazar returned the game’s opening kickoff for a TD to set the time, and also added 177 rushing yards for the Lions as Leverett’s Chapel rolled to a 70-24 Six Man win over Savoy.
Christus Smith carried 13 times for 254 yards for the Lions, and Juan Contreras was 8 for 9 on extra points.
Defensive standouts for the Lions were Jesus Reyes, Kaiven Quinalty, Sammy Avalos, Ken Brown and Damien Salazar.
