TYLER, Texas (KLTV) – Retired 321st District Court Judge Carole Clark is expected to make a full recovery following the deadly West Texas wreck that killed her husband, family representatives announced Thursday.

Carole Clark and her husband, A.D. Clark, were driving back from New Mexico last week when the crash happened, Robert Wilson, the current 321st District Court judge, said.

A.D. Clark did not survive, and Carole Clark was taken to a Lubbock hospital with broken ribs and a head injury, Wilson said in a social media release.

Family representatives Louann Williams and Jenny Clark said family members traveled to Lubbock Wednesday to be with the retired judge, according to a statement emailed to KLTV.

“Judge Clark is expected to make a full recovery, although she will require a lengthy rehabilitation,” Williams and Clark said in a joint statement, noting Carole Clark could not receive visitors.

“She can have no visitors at this point in her healing process,” they continued in a statement.

Funeral arrangements for A.D. Clark will be completed at a later date, the representatives said.
