This Saturday you can help some animals without taking one home.

Many of us share that “lottery dream” of buying land outside of Lubbock and giving every stray or shelter animal a forever home. Unfortunately, most of us are already full up with pets or limited by space and time. But there’s a way to make a big difference without breaking the bank or building a barnyard.

Treat Buckets and Big Hearts

The Haven Animal Shelter is hosting Trick or Treat for the Animals this Saturday, and it’s a brilliant idea. Each animal pen has its own “trick or treat” bucket — and visitors can drop in treats, toys, or supplies to help out. It’s a creative, feel-good way to lend a hand, especially if you can’t adopt or volunteer regularly.

Pets need humans just as much as humans need pets. By dropping off a few goodies, you help The Haven offset expenses, ease some of the financial strain, and keep the animals engaged and socialized.

A Win for You and Them This Saturday At The Haven

The Haven has many adoptable dogs and cats, plus a few permanent residents who will live out their days in care — and all of them would love the attention. You’ll leave with that warm, fuzzy feeling that comes from helping creatures who give love unconditionally.
