North Texas welcomes the fall season with festivals, outdoor gatherings and more.
We’ve rounded up events in and around Arlington where the public can embrace nature and explore the outdoors while celebrating autumn weather and traditions.
River Legacy Fall Festival
The public is encouraged to participate in River Legacy Foundation’s annual fall festival, where the community connects with nature and enjoys a variety of activities for people of all ages. The event features festival food, a pumpkin patch and hayrides. Guests are treated to live animal encounters, trails and many other activities along the riverfront. Admission is $8 for those over 2. A four-person family pack is $52 and includes food coupons as well as other offerings.

Green’s Produce and Plants Fall Festival
You can bring autumn into your home and meals courtesy of fresh produce and plants from Green’s Fall Festival. Aside from seasonal flowers, decor and gourds, fall-themed activities and games will be open to guests. Free admission.

Hall’s Pumpkin Farm & Corn Maze
Hall’s Pumpkin Farm & Corn Maze is back in North Texas through Nov. 2. The annual event features a pumpkin patch, a 2-acre-wide labyrinth and hayrides where families and children can interact with and feed farm animals. Admission price varies.

25th Annual Nash Farm Fall Round-Up
This Grapevine festival celebrates agriculture, prairieland and the fall season with farm animals, chuckwagon demonstrations, arts and crafts. Proceeds support Nash Farm education programs. Free admission.

A Monarch’s Journey
Thousands of monarch butterflies pass through Texas to their winter home in Michoacan, Mexico. The Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department invites the public to Rosemont Park to learn more about this autumnal migration pattern.

The Trail Run at Eagle Mountain Park
North Texans will be treated to a plate of fresh pancakes after crossing the finish line at Streams & Valleys’ Trail Run. Attendees can indulge in Eagle Mountain Park’s trail system by opting for a 2-mile hike or a 5-mile run. Registration is $55.

Trails & Treats at the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge
The Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge’s fall festival invites people of all ages to discover nature-themed surprises while collecting treats along one of its many trails. The public is encouraged to wear costumes and bring a reusable bag while enjoying live animal encounters and the fall air. Hayrides and canoeing will also be available. Regular admission prices apply, ranging from $2 to $6.

Harvest Heritage Festival at Cedar Hill State Park
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department brings back the annual fall festival where guests can explore Penn Farm, a historic agricultural site of the state park that houses a diversity of land, including orchards and pastures. Guests can appreciate the park’s scenic views while being treated to fall activities. Regular park admission fees apply.

Fall Japanese Festival at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden
The Fort Worth Botanic Garden hosts a seasonal Japanese festival, where attendees participate in taiko drumming, tea ceremonies and other cultural activities at the outdoor event. Tea ceremonies require separate tickets. Admission price varies.
