SAN ANTONIO – Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect in the brutal murder of a woman in 2024.

According to San Antonio Crime Stoppers, around 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2024, San Antonio Police Officers were called to the corner of Babcock Road and Medical Drive for an apparent sudden death.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim, identified as 47-year-old Regina Meyer Martinez, behind the apartments in a wooded area along Snowden Road.

Investigators later revealed she was found with multiple apparent stab wounds and deemed her death a homicide. At the time, Martinez was homeless and was found near a homeless encampment.

Anyone with any information on her murder is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 210-224-7867 or submit a tip online.

Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to a felony arrest in connection with the murder.
