EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — The El Paso City Council is expected to discuss an agenda item next week that would develop a plan to block Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facilities in the borderland.

Representative Lily Limón has introduced the agenda item, requesting the City Attorney to develop a plan to prevent the installation of any ICE detention facilities within the city.

The proposal calls for collaboration between the City Manager and the City Attorney to create this plan of action.

Additionally, the measure seeks support from the County of El Paso and El Paso Water.

The discussion and potential action on this item involve all city districts.
