The Aggies jumped out to a 20-2 lead to open the game, swarming the Bulldogs on their home court. However, Georgia fought back, trimming the deficit to just 10Â at the break. Still, the Bulldogs never led in the opening period because of A&M’s blistering start.
Both teams’ fiery pace of play has kept the action going in the opening period, with the road Aggies looking fresh after the week break but needing to fend off a surging Bulldogs squad coming off two consecutive losses.
A&M outrebounded Georgia 24-22, won the turnover battle 5-6, and in bench points 18-16.
Aggies’ guard Pop Isaacs led the way with 11 points, shooting 3-for-6 from the field. Forward Rashaun Agee paced A&M on the boards with six rebounds.
For the Bulldogs, guard Blue Cain led the half, finishing the period with nine points while shooting 3-for-5 from the field. Forward Dylan James led them in rebounding with six.

For the first time since the opening four minutes of the game, Georgia trimmed its deficit to under 10 points. A&M has done a solid job of maintaining its lead, but the Bulldogs have slowly chipped away and entered the final four minutes of the second half down by three possessions.
Georgia continues to find some rhythm offensively, trimming the lead to 14Â at the third media timeout. The Bulldogs are shooting 36% from the field, while the Aggies have slowed down from the early onslaught, shooting 42%.
The Bulldogs have found a bit more offensive rhythm, but the Aggies push the lead to 16 at the second media timeout. A&M opened the game with a 20-2 run and has shot 50% from the field early.
Great start by the Aggies, who used a 14-0 run to build a massive lead. Dominguez hit 2-of-3 shots from beyond the arc and forced a foul on a 3-point attempt, making all three free throw attempts.
