AZLE – Gloria Fogerson, 87, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026. Gloria was born on February 2, 1938, to Edna Ray Waddle and Carmen Lee Waddle, in Fort Worth, Texas. A resident of Ruidoso, New Mexico for 35 years, she was a proud graduate of Polytechnic High School. A gifted professional seamstress, her remarkable career included sewing for the Six Flags Wild West Show, M.L. Leddy at the Fort Worth Stockyard, Wendy Ryan, and the First National Bank of Fort Worth. Her exceptional talent even led to the creation of an evening gown for the Princess of Monaco, and an offer to work on Rodeo Drive in Hollywood. She continued to share her craft by sewing for the local community in Ruidoso for more than three decades. Gloria was an active member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the Confederacy, and she warmly welcomed visitors as a longtime greeter for the Ruidoso Chamber of Commerce.
