EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso police released the identity of a suspect who crashed into a rock wall in Northeast El Paso after an officer tried to pull him over Thursday afternoon, along with bodycam video of the incident.

According to a social media post by the El Paso Police Department, Anzell Kyshone Coleman was arrested after he allegedly fled from a traffic stop and led police on a chase that ended when Coleman reportedly crashed his car into a rock wall at the 5900 block of Apollo Avenue, near Railroad Drive.

The incident happened at around 3:12 p.m., according to the time stamp on the bodycam video.

Bodycam video shows how police officers, guns drawn, approach the vehicle, which appears stuck on the rock wall.

Then, officers can be seen smashing the car’s windows and pulling the suspect out before putting him in the back of a patrol vehicle.

Police did not say if Coleman suffered injuries during the crash.

Jail records show Coleman was booked into the El Paso County Downtown Jail, where he was charged with evading arrest and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

According to jail records, Coleman remains jailed as his bail is pending.
