LUBBOCK, Texas — If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, the Hub City has you covered with live music, comedy shows, a business expo and several family-friendly activities. Here is Lubbock’s weekend lineup for the weekend of January 30 through February 1.

Friday, January 30:

Live music at La Diosa: La Diosa brings live music every Friday and Saturday from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. There is a $5 cover to help support the artist directly.

Black Business Expo: The Black Business Expo is a showcase for Lubbock Black Owned Business in the West Texas area to gather, celebrate, elevate and empower Black entrepreneurship. The event begins with a networking mixer at Harris Cafe Seafood on Friday. The main expo event is Saturday.

Live music at Triple J: Dustin Garrett will have live music in the bar area of Triple J from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Happy hour and live music at Stella’s: From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., enjoy live music and happy hour at the front bar at Stella’s.

Tejano night at Jake’s: Enjoy dancing and drinks at Jake’s Backroom with doors opening at 8 p.m. There is a $5 cover.

Troy Ramey: An Evening of Songs & Stories: Get ready for an incredible night of Songs & Stories with songwriter/ storyteller, Troy Ramey! Doors open at 7 p.m.

Marty Lee McCray live: Head to the Silver Bullet Saloon for live music from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. There is a $5 cover.

The Good the Bad and the Ugly: There will be live music at the Sanctuary Bar and Cafe from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Album release party: Von Tez, Mojave Sol and All About Alice will play at Mojave Sol’s album release party at Prima Vista starting at 7 p.m.

Saturday, January 31:

Wolfforth Farmers Market: Enjoy food, drinks and goodies from all over at the Wolfforth Farmers Market on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

PBS Kids Free Family Movie Day: Join PBS Kids and Premiere Cinemas for a free family movie day at 11 a.m. They will be showing Phoebe and Jay.

Bored Teachers: Grab your tickets and head to the Buddy Holly Hall for this relatable teacher comedy tour. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Find tickets here.

Black Business Expo: The Black Business Expo main event is at the Mae Simmons Community Center at 2004 Oak Avenue from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

TTU AstroNight: Join TTU Astronomy for the first AstroNight of 2026 at the Lubbock Lake Landmark at 6 p.m. The event will feature hands-on stargazing and fascinating insights from TTU Professor Thomas Maccarone.

Los Locos at Mano: Laugh Hub City is back at Mano Negra with a wild night of comedy starting at 9 p.m.

Vincent Mason at Cook’s Garage: Vincent Mason will be at Cook’s Garage on Saturday starting at 8 p.m. You can find tickets here.

Mrs. O’Brien’s Guide to the Golden Rule” Comedy Show: Meet Mrs. Mary Margaret O’Brien. She’s been heading the Archdiocese’s fundraising department, but now the Archdiocese has given her a new task. Instead of doing a TED talk, she’s doing GOD talks.

Adonis González Guest Artist Piano Recital: Located at Hemmle Recital Hall, this performance is free and open to the public starting at 8 p.m.

Hullabaloo Comedy Company: IMPROVMANIA: Get ready to laugh during this action-packed comedy show based on audience suggestions. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Firehouse Theatre.

Wallace Theater hosting country singer Will Banister: The event will take place on Saturday, January 31 at 7:30 p.m. at the Wallace Theater in Levelland, located at 823 Houston Street. Tickets are priced at $40.89 and can be purchased here or by calling (806) 523-8773.

Sunday, February 1:

Lady Raiders home game: The Lady Raiders take on TCU at home on Sunday at 1 p.m. You can find tickets here.

Jazz brunch: Stella’s monthly Jazz Brunch will have bottomless mimosas, a chef-curated menu and a musical snack. Live music will be in the front bar from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Reservations are encouraged.
