Post Malone is officially coming to El Paso. He just announced a Sun Bowl stop on May 13, and while fans are already gearing up for the music, the real question echoing across the Sun City is a little more… service-industry focused.

Will Posty whip out his huge tip while he’s here?

If history tells us anything, El Paso servers should probably stretch, hydrate, and emotionally prepare.

Post Malone has built a very public, very legendary reputation for pulling out his absolutely massive tip wherever he goes. And not in a subtle, slide-it-under-the-receipt way. We’re talking tips so big they stop the room, make ya momma blush, and become local folklore by closing time.

Most recently, Post dropped a $2,000 tip at The Howlin’ Wolf in New Orleans during Super Bowl weekend. The bartender, Heather Foster, was understandably stunned by Postys tip. The tip was so large that Square initially refused to process it, apparently unprepared for that level of generosity. After the internet stepped in, Square reversed course, and the tip went through. Foster’s response summed it up best: “Next beer is on me, man.”

This wasn’t a one-off. Just last Christmas, Post Malone put his hand down his pants and left a $20,000 tip in Houston, a tip so big it practically needs its own ZIP code. He’s also handed a Pizza Hut crew in Utah $1,200, proving that no counter, bar, or drive-thru is safe from Posty’s monster tip!

Which brings us back to El Paso.

With Post Malone in town, there’s a very real chance some lucky bartender, server, or late-night food worker is going to feel the full force of Post Malones tip. A tip so large you don’t talk about it quietly. A tip so big you text the group chat immediately. A tip so overwhelming you briefly consider lying down.

Let’s be honest. Most of us wouldn’t know how to handle it. Even just seeing Post Malone pull out a tip like that at a local bar would be a story you tell forever. The kind of thing you casually bring up years later like, “Oh yeah, that happened once.”

So as May 13th approaches, El Paso’s service industry waits with bated breath. Not for the music. For the moment. For the possibility. For the chance that Posty chooses their establishment to unleash yet another legendary, oversized expression of appreciation.
