LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Lubbock Police Department has released the names of those involved in a Sunday night motorcycle crash that left one person dead and another with serious injuries.
Lubbock Police say the call came in from 29th Drive and the Marsha Sharp Freeway at 7:38 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found 19-year-old Sean Canales, and 17-year-old Maizie Casares.
Both were transported with serious injuries to University Medical Center where Canales later died.
Through the initial course of the investigation, it appears, the motorcycle, driven by Canales, was going west on MSF when it collided with a guardrail on the north side of the road.
No other vehicles were involved and no other injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
