AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a hit-and-run incident that occurred on November 2, 2025.

The incident took place around 9:52 p.m. in the 8600 block of FM 969 Road, according to a press release from the Austin Police Department’s Highway Enforcement Investigation Unit. The suspect vehicle, described as a maroon four-door Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, collided with another vehicle after exiting a gas station and attempting a left turn. The driver failed to stop and render aid, as required by transportation code.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, aged between 20 and 30 years, with black hair and a black beard, of medium height and weight.

Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program at austincrimestoppers.org or by calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
