EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A man was recently arrested in connection with a shooting that injured another man this past Sunday, Feb. 1, in Central El Paso, according to El Paso Police.
El Paso Police investigate shooting in Central El Paso
Police say Cesar Vite Pineda is facing three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after they located a 58-year-old man with gunshot wounds at the 2500 block of Morehead Sunday.
Pineda was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under a total bond of $150,000.
Body camera footage provided by EPPD shows officers responding to the incident, and their SWAT team in the area. Video also shows officers arresting Pineda.
As KTSM 9 News previously reported, the call came in shortly before 4 p.m., and EPPD’s SWAT team was seen in the area.
Crews with the El Paso Fire Department were also seen in the area with the department’s Fire-STAR helicopter.
No further information has been released.
