The Study Abroad Fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Palo Duro Lounge in the University Center.
The fair will allow students to learn about the various study abroad programs available to them, study abroad director Jason Kouba said.
Numerous ambassadors and study abroad staff members will be at the event to promote their programs and answer questions, Kouba said. The Financial Aid and Scholarships office will be at the event to discuss scholarships and aid regarding different programs.
“We have over 500 different official programs that students can choose from,” Kouba said.
Study abroad opportunities include faculty-led programs and programs offered through affiliate partners.
Faculty-led programs are designed by UTA faculty and are often tied to a specific course. They are offered mostly in the summer, summer intersession and winter intersession, according to the Office of International Education’s website.
Affiliate programs are offered through organizations partnered with UTA and are offered through all academic terms, according to the website.
Free snacks and giveaways will also be available at the event.
“It’s a really good opportunity for students to learn more directly about programs,” Kouba said.
