Upcoming projects
Project: The traffic changes come as the city is working to expand New Hope Drive from four to six lanes and open an innovative intersection design at New Hope Drive and 183A Toll. The expansion will span from the west end of New Hope Drive near Whitestone Boulevard to Lakeline Boulevard.
Update: According to the city of Cedar Park, the project is in the design phase.

Project: The project will widen 2.91 miles of SE Inner Loop in Georgetown to a four-lane, divided road from Hwy. 29 to FM 1460, and add a shared-use path for pedestrians and bicycles on one side.
Update: According to the city of Georgetown, the project is in the design phase, with real estate acquisition and utility relocation ongoing.

Project: This project will add two lanes on either side of 183A Toll from East Whitestone Boulevard to Avery Ranch Boulevard.
Update: According to the city of Cedar Park, construction is underway to build north and southbound frontage roads along 183A.

Project: The project will reduce the risk of flooding along Little Walnut Creek and divert floodwaters from the creek to underground culverts, expand a stormwater detention pond, replace and upgrade water and wastewater lines, and add a shared-use path.
Update: According to Austin Capital Delivery Services, Phase 4 completed in December, including completion of stormwater and wastewater infrastructure in the road and paving of the project. The contractor is now working on cleanup and restoration of the park staging area and detention pond at Quail Creek Neighborhood Park.

Project: One of the city’s corridor improvement programs, work along Slaughter Lane includes widening the roadway from four to six lanes, adding shared-use paths, signal upgrades and landscaping enhancements. Spanning FM 1826 to Old Lockhart Road, the project is aimed at increasing safety for pedestrians and bicyclists as well as increasing mobility.
Update: According to the city of Austin, the most recent phase of work from MoPac to Brodie Lane, known as C2, kicked off this past summer. Work includes new traffic signals and crosswalk upgrades at the intersection of Brodie Lane and Bowie High School. At Zuniga Drive, there will also be a new pedestrian crossing light and other safety improvements.

183 North Mobility Project northbound connector
Project: The project includes the construction of two express lanes in each direction on US 183, a general-purpose lane to bring the number of nontolled lanes to four in each direction, new shared use path connections, new sidewalks and cross-street connections for bicycles and pedestrians.
Update: According to the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority, the northbound direct connector opened Jan. 31 following the opening of the express lanes Jan. 2. The southbound express lanes and direct connector are slated to open in the coming months.
