EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A man wanted by Horizon City police was arrested Jan. 25 after he was caught crossing from Ciudad Juarez to El Paso through the Zaragoza border crossing.

According to the Horizon City Police Department, Ramon Eduardo Coronado was arrested at the Ysleta Port of Entry after U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents ran a check on him and found he had an active warrant for violation of bond/protective order.

Horizon police thanked CBP after all the agents at the border called HCPD after learning of the warrant.

Police said Coronado was taken into custody without incident.

Jail records show Coronado was booked into the El Paso County Downtown Jail under a $3,500 bond.

According to jail records, Coronado was released that same day after posting a surety bond.
