JUSTIN – Mary Gertrude “Gertie” Staggs, 91, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 30, 2026. Graveside service: 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2026, at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 12:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2026 in our Breyley Suite at Mount Olivet Chapel. She adored her little dog, Spanky, who adored her just as much. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Bobbie Joe Staggs; two grandsons, Robert Shelton Staggs, and PFC Austin Garrett Staggs; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Claire Staggs. Gertrude is survived by her three sons, Robert Henry Staggs, Byram Gene Staggs, and Stephan Edward Staggs; four grandchildren, Jimmy Joseph Staggs, Bobby Joe “BJ” Staggs, Emily Morgan Staggs, and Sarah Ellen Puckett; and six great-grandchildren.
