GLEN ROSE, TX – Patsy Kathryn Martin passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was 93 years young. Pat was born on October 5, 1932, in Mertens, Texas, to Robert and Tressie Bailey Woods. She was raised primarily in Fort Worth alongside her siblings, Dolores and Bobby. It was there that she met the love of her life, Billy Wayne Martin. The two married one year later on September 2, 1949, and made their home in Fort Worth, where they raised their boys and lived for 62 years before moving to Glen Rose in 2011. Pat was a master seamstress who never needed a pattern to create her beautiful designs, and she was also an exceptional cook. Above all, she was a living example of a loving doting mother, grandmother, and memaw. She cherished time spent with her family, enjoyed watching Bill play softball, and loved camping-whether at Lake Whitney, in the Kiamichi Wilderness of Oklahoma, or simply “hitting the road” together in their RV. She is survived by her sons, Joe Bill Martin and wife, Pam, of Glen Rose, and Larry Martin and wife, Claudia, of Alvarado. She leaves behind grandchildren Michele and Jon McArtor of Rainbow; Candace and Kody Rash of Arlington; Gayla and Chris Reynolds of Rainbow; Jana and Blaine Hendrick of McAllen; Jeff and Kelsey Geistweidt of College Station; Chris and Raven Martin of Missouri; Randy and Shara Parker, and Beau and Jessica Brown both of Venus. Pat was also blessed with 24 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include her brother, Bob Woods and wife, Deyanne of Oklahoma; her brother-in-law, Don Roberson; and her Martin in-laws, Coy Martin, Ann Martin, Judy White, and Cynthia Mercado, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Martin, on November 23, 2011; her parents; her sister, Dolores Roberson; her sisters-in-law, Myra Carter and Suzie Martin as well as brother-in-law Bill White, and many other cherished family members and friends. Pat touched the lives of countless people who were better for having known her. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 5th, at 9:30 a.m. at Mount Olivet Funeral Home, 2301 N. Sylvania Ave., Fort Worth, followed by burial at Emerald Hills Memorial Park, 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd., Kennedale. Family will receive visitors one hour prior to the funeral service at Mount Olivet.
