Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and Texans looking to spend the holiday with their special someone or treat themselves to a night on the town – Galentine’s Day, anyone? – are in luck. The Lone Star State is home to a slew of the most romantic restaurants of 2026, according to restaurant reservations company OpenTable.
The platform compiled the Top 100 must-visit, “swoon-worthy” restaurants that “know how to set the mood,” the roundup read. There was something for everyone in some of Texas’ biggest cities, with the Lone Star State cinching five nods for restaurants in San Antonio, Austin, Houston and Dallas.
Texas’ capital city is home to the most romantic restaurants compared to its neighbors, with Austin earning two shout outs on the list. Jeffrey’s Restaurant & Bar – located at 1204 W. Lynn St., Austin, TX 78703 in Austin’s historic Clarksville neighborhood – has been a mainstay in Austin for more than 50 years, with the 4.9-starred restaurant serving prime steaks and local produce within its three dining rooms, coupled by a bar.
Elsewhere in Austin is Truluck’s – Ocean’s Finest Seafood & Crab, with OpenTable specifically commending the restaurant’s Arboretum location at 10225 Research Blvd, Suite 4000, Austin, TX 78759. The 4.8-starred seafood and steakhouse restaurant has been open for more than 30 years and features live piano music, a banquet hall, a bar and lounge and handcrafted cocktails.
Within the Alamo City is Bohanan’s Prime Steaks and Seafood, a 4.9-starred restaurant located at 219 E. Houston St., Suite 275, San Antonio, TX 78205. The restaurant, nestled about a block away from the River Walk in downtown San Antonio, is heralded for its prime beef, seafood, desserts flambé and cocktails bar.
Down in H-Town, OpenTable praised Pappas Bros. Steakhouse in Houston’s Galleria neighborhood for its dry-age select cuts, fresh produce and ample wine selections – more than 6,000, to be exact. Located at 5839 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77057, the 4.8-starred restaurant has been a dining destination in town since 1995.
Finally, Dallas’ Perry’s Steakhouse & Grill, located within the Park District, rounded out the Texas list with a 4.8 star rating. Nestled at 2100 Olive St., Dallas, TX 75201 in the city’s Uptown neighborhood, the steakhouse, seafood and American restaurant features an island bar alongside patio dining, five total dining areas and an overlook of downtown.
